SAN FELICE DEL BENACO (BS) – Bryan Olivo, pride of Friuli, kicked off his 2024 with an extraordinary triumph, clinching the celebrated 100th edition of the Coppa San Geo – 54th Trofeo Caduti Soprazocco, the opening competition of the Italian national calendar for Elite and Under 23. The talented athlete, representing our team, crossed the finish line in a tight sprint, surpassing the promising young rider Davide Donati, making his debut with the Biesse Carrera, and Giovanni Bortoluzzi of General Store-Essegibi-F.lli Curia. These three cyclists were part of the leading group competing for victory.
The race was characterized by a long breakaway of four riders: the Englishman Walker (Rime Drali), the Ukrainians Predko and Pidmainiy, and the Trentino Pezzani. Walker was the last to surrender, staying on the attack for over 100 kilometers and nurturing hopes of victory until the final lap, when his hopes were dashed.
